Alexander Fleming
Alexander Fleming was born on August 6, 1881; at Lochfield Farm. He went to Louden Moor School, Daruel School, Kilmarnok Academy all before he went to Polytechnic in London. Later he entered St. Mary’s Medical School, London University. In 1906 he started research under Sir Almroth Wright, who was a pioneer in vaccine therapy. He then earned his M.B. B.S. Then Alexander became a lecturer at St. Mary’s until 1914. He also severed in World War I as a captain of Medical Corps. He was also a Professor of school in 1918. Later in 1945 he won a Nobel Prize in Medicine for his amazing discovery.
